Q: What was the inspiration behind Local Skin Bar? 

A: I’ve been working in aesthetics for years now and have always envisioned opening my own place. I've seen many ways of operating a clinic, but I wanted to try an approach that I hadn’t seen before. I wanted the emphasis to be on the feeling people get when they come in, a place that feels like coming home.

Skin can be a vulnerable topic for lots of people, so creating an environment where our clients feel like they can drop by for a chat without any pressure or specific outcome allows our clients to relax. Since I was young, I’ve found so much gratification in helping people see their own potential and I’ve found that gratification through my passion for helping others look and feel their best.

It feels incredible to create a business that aligns so closely with my passions and we’re so excited to see what the rest of our first year will bring! 

Q: Why did you choose Omnilux for your treatments?  

A: Red light therapy is such an incredible catch-all for so many skin concerns.  We love that with consistent use, our clients can resolve multiple issues all at the same time!  

Q: How has Omnilux helped you grow your business?  

A: We find that clients hope for instant results - don’t we all. We often remind our clients that patience is absolutely key. Q: What are some exciting beauty trends you’re keeping an eye on? 

A: We’re all interested in hair growth treatments around here. Whether it’s a rosemary shampoo or a leave-in oil treatment, we’re trying to grow out our locks for the summer. We’ve read lots about red light therapy for hair growth, and would love to try a scalp red light mask… Omnilux, the ball is in your court!
